Matt Spitz - Owner/Carpenter
Matt is the Founder, Owner, and C.D.S.U. (chief dust sweeper upper) of The Matthew Tamerisk Collection. He has developed a love for woodworking and construction over the last decade. Matt loves the process of meeting new clients, hearing their vision for refreshing their favorite spaces, and working tirelessly to bring their
vision to reality.
The Festool 125 5” Finish Sander is Matt's favorite tool, and he has never met a live edge slab of wood he didn’t like. A dream project would be to build a conference room table for a division 1 college football coaching staff or a 5-Star restaurant.
As a former two-time All-American football player at Capital University and a 2018 inductee into Capital’s Athletics Hall of Fame, Matt is very familiar with excellence and consistency. He is committed to producing the highest quality live edge furniture on the market.
Matt married his wife Kara in 2010. They are the parents to Elsie and Jackson, and are currently trusting God’s perfect timing to finalize an adoption.
